Projects like VO.DO, after.video, Converge and Deprford.TV aimed to democratise filmmaking tools and skills, while avoiding reliance on proprietary platforms, empowering collectives to take charge of both production and dissemination platforms.

Lennaart van Oldenborgh’s current research is focusing on memory and narrativity, questioning how history and identity are constructed in the navigation of rapidly-expanding visual archives.
